Passionate about all things automotive, RSC business partner Dan was trained and educated to work to the high quality standards of premium automotive brand Jaguar Landrover.
Thoughout his 17 year long career he gained an NVQ Level 3 apprenticeship and degree in Design for Manufacture with Business Management and then set his sights on using his creativity to turn panel vans into camper vans. Through working with cars such as hybrid Range Rovers, classic Jaguars and supercar classic XJ220 Dan gained invaluable experience whilst pushing the boundaries of his skill set. He left JLR in 2017 to pursue a full time Directors role at RSC. Known for his dry sense of humour and work hard play hard attitude, he enjoys camping, travel and family time.
His biggest claim to fame is having driven the first and last E-Type Jaguar ever made!
RSC business partner and lifelong Moto X enthusiast Simon, can always be found wearing shorts and cracking bad jokes!
Alongside Dan, Simon was also trained and educated to work to the high quality standards of premium automotive brand Jaguar Landrover. After 14 enjoyable years having gained an HNC apprenticeship, he ended his career on a high after building the first £1.2 million pound lightweight E-Type which was featured on Channel 4’s documentary ‘Making a Million Pound Car’. Simon left JLR in 2015 to manage RSC full time. Simon is a WEBASTO certified fitter meaning that he is ‘the go to man’ for diesel heaters. In his spare time Simon enjoys walking workshop dog Toby, cooking, camping and world travel.
Simon’s biggest claim to fame is meeting her majesty the Queen!
Jay has 4 year’s experience at RSC and has recently achieved an NVQ Level 3 (to show that he’s not just a pretty face apparently?).
He can be tracked down in the workshop by the sound of his voice as he’s always singing!
In his spare time he enjoys Motocross, nights out and walking his dog Babbachew.
He continues to develop a wide skill set and is especially proud of his lowering skills “how low can you go…”.
Interesting fact about Jay: He broke his collarbone during his first ever motocross race because he got knocked off by a girl.
Lewis is the youngest member of the team joining RSC straight from school in September 2016.
Make no mistake, Lewis is making an impression on his co-workers and customers but he’s no tea boy, we have yet to see him drink anything! In his spare time Lewis is a Remote Control Car enthusiast, traveling far and wide in pursuit of his favourite pastime. Lewis has really grabbed the bull by the horns and is steadily learning the ropes, he’s already a wiz at carpeting and speaker fitting – in time we hope he might become our very own audio/visual expert.
Interesting fact about Lewis: Don’t mess – he was one of the youngest people to obtain a black belt in Karate.
Lawrence has 3 years experience at RSC and 3 years previous experience working for a competitor firm.
In his spare time Lawrence likes to watch live football, go beach combing, star gazing and “get inked”.
Lawrence can turn his hand to anything and is a vital string to our bow. He’s enjoys fitting roofs, electrical work and floor fitting and has become notorious for his rapid and top notch carpeting skills.
Interesting fact about Lawrence: Need your cattle branding? Lawrence is your man! He once lived in Canada where he practiced this remarkable skill.
A visit to RSC is in no way complete without a meet and greet from friendly workshop dog Toby. You can’t miss him and don’t worry, he will soon find you if you have food! He was rescued by Simon and is believed to be around 11 years old. He loves a good fuss and can be found in various locations enjoying lunch dates with most of Shilton Industrial Estates workers.
