Established in 2008 by partners Simon & Dan, Rising Sun Campers are undoubtedly one of the most creative and all encompassing bespoke van conversion & modification specialists in the UK.
A highly skilled and dedicated workforce operate from Coventry in the heart of the midlands with convenient links to nearby major road and rail networks. We maintain a close relationship with each and every one of our customers to ensure total customer satisfaction from project design to completion.
Not only do we undertake work on customer vans, we are able to source vans as per your specifications and budget, modifying them to suit your needs.

Dan Albrighton

Passionate about all things automotive, RSC business partner Dan was trained and educated to work to the high quality standards of premium automotive brand Jaguar Landrover.
Thoughout his 17 year long career he gained an NVQ Level 3 apprenticeship and degree in Design for Manufacture with Business Management and then set his sights on using his creativity to turn panel vans into camper vans. Through working with cars such as hybrid Range Rovers, classic Jaguars and supercar classic XJ220 Dan gained invaluable experience whilst pushing the boundaries of his skill set. He left JLR in 2017 to pursue a full time Directors role at RSC. Known for his dry sense of humour and work hard play hard attitude, he enjoys camping, travel and family time.
His biggest claim to fame is having driven the first and last E-Type Jaguar ever made!

Partner
RSC business partner and lifelong Moto X enthusiast Simon, can always be found wearing shorts and cracking bad jokes!
Alongside Dan, Simon was also trained and educated to work to the high quality standards of premium automotive brand Jaguar Landrover. After 14 enjoyable years having gained an HNC apprenticeship, he ended his career on a high after building the first £1.2 million pound lightweight E-Type which was featured on Channel 4’s documentary ‘Making a Million Pound Car’. Simon left JLR in 2015 to manage RSC full time. Simon is a WEBASTO certified fitter meaning that he is ‘the go to man’ for diesel heaters. In his spare time Simon enjoys spending time with family, motocross, camping and world travel.
Simon’s biggest claim to fame is meeting her majesty the Queen!

The Workshop
Our customers and prospective customers are always welcome to visit us and our 5000SQFT fully equipped workshop.
Open 6 days a week, our prime location is just 2 miles from M6/M69 and airport/rail transfers can be arranged with prior agreement. Should you wish to stay in the area, numerous fully serviced campsites are located nearby and we encourage you to visit the many local attractions such as Coombe Abbey Country Park.
We have recently moved into our new, custom equipped 5000 sq foot premises. Along with our workshop, we have a indoor showroom full of vans for sale which features a showroom full of parts and accessories.
